Compressed Gas Cylinders and O2 and Acetylene Cutting | Hazards associated with compressed gases include oxygen displacement, fires, explosions, and toxic gas exposures, as well as the physical hazards associated with high pressure systems. Electrical Safety Awareness - Non-Qualified Worker | Topics include: electrical hazards in the workplace, procedures to follow when working around electricity, tasks can only be performed by qualified workers (e.g., maintenance and repairs), how to report electrical problems and what to do in the event of an emergency involving electricity. Qualified electrical workers require additional training. |

Ergonomics and Lifting Hazard Identification | Principles of ergonomics and their applications. Course covers risk factors and controls for proper use of equipment, tools, and machine controls. Excavation Safety | This excavation training is required for workers who work in trenches and excavations and designated excavation competent persons. Course topics include hazards, protective measures and procedures to safely work in excavations as well as competent person duties. The CBT has two required parts to complete training program. |

Noise and Hearing Conservation | Required training for any employee exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average of 85 decibels and awareness training for all others exposed to noise at 90 dB or greater. Course include information about: the effects of noise on hearing; hearing protection (HP) devices; attenuation of various HP devices, fit, use, and care; and the purpose of audiometric testing. Course must be repeated annually for those employees included in the company hearing conversation program. |
